It Seemed Funny at the Time

During the week I have morning coffee with various friends and the conversations invariably get silly. Sometimes so silly that an image pops into our collective heads that has me reaching for my sketchbook or a scrap of paper to somehow capture the nonsense before it slips away. Below are two such images, which were ridiculous enough to add a little color to.

The first came from a relatively serious conversation about Corporate Executives and their inevitable “Golden Parachute” clauses allowing them financial security even if their performance is poor, or down right destructive. During the conversation I kept incorrectly calling them “Golden Safety Blankets” until my companion gently corrected me. My embarrassment was quickly replaced by wheezing mirth as we envisioned the poor sap that signed such a contract, not knowing his mistake until it was too late.

The second was derived from the notion of camping while still remaining connected via all our state of the art gadgets. The question arose; “Do you think it is too dark to text from the inside of a bear?”
